Keeping your Raiinmaker Network Validator updated ensures that your node runs smoothly and continues contributing to network security and efficiency. This guide walks you through updating to the latest v0.3.0 version. Remember, it’s important to complete the update by November 15, 2024 to keep everything running smoothly.

Step 1: Access the Coiin.AI Dashboard

Start by navigating to the Coiin.AI dashboard. Here, you’ll find everything you need to download and update your Raiinmaker Network Validator.

Step 2: Locate the Download Section

On the dashboard, you will find a welcome banner telling you to update your Validator. Click the Download button, which will take you directly to the Raiinmaker GitHub page. This page provides multiple file options, allowing you to select the version compatible with your operating system.

Step 3: Select Your Operating System and Download

On the GitHub page, under Assets, you’ll see download options for various operating systems:

• EXE: For Windows computers
• DMG: For macOS (Apple devices)
• Source Code/Other Resources: Additional files for developers or those requiring alternative installation resources

To download:

• For Windows: Click on the EXE file.
• For macOS: Click on the DMG file.

Once selected, the download will begin automatically. Wait until the download is complete before proceeding.

Step 4: Open the Updated Raiinmaker Validator Software

After downloading, locate the file in your downloads folder and open the new validator software. You may be prompted with a pop-up asking whether you’d like to replace the existing version with v0.3.0 — select this option to proceed with the update.

Step 5: Copy Your Updated Public Key

Once the installation is complete, your new validator public key will be automatically generated and copied. A pop-up will confirm this, ensuring you have the updated key ready for the next steps.

Step 6: Deregister Your Current Node

Next, return to Coiin.AI’s Validator Nodes page. Here, you’ll need to de-register your existing node to replace it with the updated version.

Step 7: Register Your New Independent Node

In the “Enter Public Key” box, paste the new public key for your v0.3.0 Validator and click Register. This step officially registers your node with the latest version.

Step 8: Confirm Node Registration Status

After registration, your node is now ready! It may take 5–30 minutes for your node to start signing blocks. Be patient, and check the dashboard for updates on your node’s status.
